Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDN)
Jessica Villalvir MS, RDN
I am a career changer, business owner, wife to a USMC combat veteran, mother of 2 boys, dog mama, and Latina! I have many different roles in my life, like I am sure you do too! My passion and personal goal in life is to help people live their most happy and healthy life. And, one’s relationship with food and self is SO vital to that success.
While working with me, you can expect a weight inclusive, safe, judgement free, and validating experience. After our sessions, you will leave feeling heard and empowered. I have my Masters of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics and BA in Psychology from CUNY: Hunter College in NYC. I decided the Nutrition and Wellness path was for me after seeing lifelong struggles with one’s relationship with food, self, and body image. Why should we spend our lives hating ourselves and our bodies? I want to help EVERYONE lift their self-concept!
I work with all ages, gender identities, races, cultures, religions, and specialties. We will NOT focus on the number on the scale but health behaviors to improve your health and meet your goals.

¡Hola! Hablo español. I am food enthusiast and believe that having a healthy relationship with food is crucial to achieve optimal health!
I have a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Food Science and a Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Hunter College in New York City. Living in New York my entire life has taught me that, often, a typical Latino diet is automatically deemed as “unhealthy” or “bad;” which isn’t true!
I want to help eliminate the duality of “good” and “bad” foods that is common in our society. I don’t believe in excluding entire food groups from your diet. It’s all about balance and what works for you to nourish your body!
I can help you manage a chronic disease such as Diabetes, Hypertension, or End Stage Renal disease. I am also passionate about helping pregnant woman and new moms navigate through the different nutritional needs required throughout the stages of pregnancy and post-partum.

I am currently a clinical dietitian and work in a hospital providing patients with medical nutrition therapy based on their individual needs. Besides working, you can find me trying new fitness classes from yoga to HIIT classes, to taking long walks throughout Manhattan, to trying new restaurants, to trying new recipes to spending time with my family and friends.

Alyssa Smolen MS, RDN, CDN
After dealing with personal health issues related to nutrition, I found a passion for nutrition. I completed my BS and MS at Montclair State University in NJ and completed my dietetic internship at Hunter College in NYC.
After working at Women’s Infant Children (WIC); working with low income families and expectant mothers, I have gained a true understanding about the importance of pre-natal nutrition and nutriton at an early age. Currently as a community dietitian at a hospital in NJ, I teach multiple cooking classes tailored to teaching individuals healthy recipes. These classes range from 2 years of age to seniors. I am passionate about making healthy meals easy, enjoyable and attainable!
During this time I have grown my social media presence on my Instagram account, “Arugalyssa” as a media dietitian. I have worked with multiple brands like Challenge Butter, Dr.’s Best, Barilla, Kibo Foods, My Fitness Pal and Kashi. I hope to inspire others to live a healthy lifestyle with easy tips that are attainable for all.
I have been quoted in Eat This Not That!, Food Network, as well as Forbes Health and EatingWell.
